How the New Year Countdown Works
The countdown reads the clock and time zone on your phone or computer and counts down to 12:00 am on 1 January in your location. Visitors in Pakistan, India, the UAE, the UK or the USA each see the time left to their own local midnight. Leave the page open on New Year’s Eve and it will change to a “Happy New Year” message when the time comes.
1 January 2027 falls on a Friday, so many Muslim families will start the new year with Jummah as well.

How to Make a New Year Message Personal
- Start with their name and one memory from the year that is ending, such as a trip, a new job or a hard time you got through together.
- Add a specific hope for them in 2027, like good health for a parent, success in exams for a student or a calm year for a busy friend.
- End with a warm line or a short dua, then send it close to midnight so it arrives with the fireworks.
A short, specific message almost always means more than a long forwarded one.
